Introduction
reparticle is a GPU particle engine with JSON-defined effects. PixiJS is its first and primary renderer, and the only renderer currently available.
Engine and renderer
Define how particles move and look in JSON, then add the effect to your app.
For PixiJS, use @reparticle/pixi. It includes the core engine and lets you add particles to your scene with ParticleEffect. Supply your own textures for the particle artwork.
@reparticle/core is the engine underneath. You don’t need to install it separately when using the PixiJS package.
What you can make
Combine point, circle, box, and cone emitters with lifetime curves, color, spin, stretch, and force modifiers. Bind a single texture or a sequence of atlas frames. Use multiple emitters for layered effects.
Requirements for the PixiJS integration
Use PixiJS v8.22.0 or later within v8, and a browser with WebGL2 support. Install @reparticle/pixi; the core engine is included.
